Choosing the right analysis type

If your SmartCoach account is connected to your Smart11 account, you have to option to create different types of analysis. In this article, we will list the different types of analysis and what you can do with them.

Individual analysis #

An individual analysis is a tactical analysis for one player. This is the same type of analysis that a player would make of themselves in Smart11. When you select “Individual analysis”, SmartCoach will ask you which player you will be analyzing, listing all the players connected to the recording. Click the player you want to analyze.

Depending on your account settings (whether your club has created a custom set of game actions in Smart11), SmartCoach might ask you which panel you want to use for your analysis. Choose the panel you want, and click “Create Analysis” to start analyzing!

Team analysis #

A team analysis is a tactical analysis on team-level. You can use this type of analysis to analyze your team performance, and share this analysis with your players on Smart11. SmartCoach offers a template for a team analysis coding panel, and you are free to create your own coding panels.

To make a team analysis, select “Team analysis”. Then, select the team you are going to analyze. Next, select the coding panel you want to use for this analysis. That’s it! Click “Create Analysis” to start analyzing!

Other #

You can also select “Other” as a type of analysis. These are analyses using your own custom coding panels, and can be anything you want them to be. If you’re just looking for a couple quick examples out of your recording, this could be the analysis type you need. It is not possible to publish this type of analyses to Smart11.

Once you select “Other” as the type of analysis, you will be asked to select the coding panel you want to use for this analysis. After selecting the right panel, click “Create Analysis” to start analyzing!

Next steps #

Once you have created your analysis, you will enter the analysis environment. Check out the following docs to learn all about the analysis environment:
