1. About Smart11 and SmartCoach
Smart11 and SmartCoach are products of Smart11 B.V., located at Leonard Springerlaan 7, 9727 KB Groningen, Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce registration number: 92519938.
Our tools help football players and coaches play smarter, make better decisions, and increase their impact on the pitch. By registering or using our software, you agree to these terms and conditions.
2. Who Can Use Smart11?
Anyone aged 13 or older may create an account. If you are under 16, you must have permission from a parent or guardian to create an account and allow us to process your data. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
There are several types of users:
- Individual players: create a personal account.
- Club/team admins: manage multiple player accounts, are responsible for uploaded content within their environment, and can analyze, share, and manage this content internally.
- Coaches: can log in to Smart11 as part of a CLUB or TEAM subscription to view player analyses and upload matches. To analyze and create content independently, a SmartCoach subscription is required.
3. Who Can Use SmartCoach?
SmartCoach is designed for coaches, staff, and analysts working independently or within a club or team environment. There are two ways to use SmartCoach:
- Standalone SmartCoach account: a paid subscription that allows you to upload matches, perform analyses, use Clairence, build playlists, and apply filters. You cannot publish content to individual Smart11 players unless connected to a team account.
- SmartCoach via team/club license: used in connection with a team or club account in Smart11. This allows you to share analyses with team players and grants full access to all SmartCoach features such as uploading, filtering, playlist and panel creation, and using Clairence.
4. Accounts and Subscriptions
As an individual player, you can start using Smart11 for free. You can upload up to 3 matches and access part of the ImpactZone.
Smart11 Subscriptions:
- ImpactZone subscription (Smart11 – IMPACTZONE): full access to the ImpactZone, max. 3 uploads.
- PRO subscription (Smart11 – PLAYER): unlimited uploads, full access to the ImpactZone, advanced analysis tools and features like Clairence, Drawing Tool, and more.
- Club and team licenses (Smart11 – CLUB/TEAM): licenses for multiple players and coaches within one organization. Includes central admin rights, shared data access within the team, and optional SmartCoach integration for staff. Coaches within CLUB/TEAM can use Smart11 to view analyses. A separate SmartCoach subscription is needed for creating analyses.
SmartCoach Subscriptions:
- SmartCoach (standalone subscription): independent use for coaches, including upload, analysis, filtering, playlist creation, and more. Publishing to Smart11 players is only possible when linked to a team or club account.
You manage your subscription via app.smart11.ai. When cancelling a subscription, the following applies:
- Smart11 subscriptions: Your account is converted to a free account. You retain access to your existing clips but can no longer upload new matches.
- SmartCoach subscriptions: You lose access to uploads and analyses made through SmartCoach. This data will be deleted after one year unless otherwise agreed within a team or club license. If you reactivate your account within one year, you will regain access to your uploads and analyses.
5. AI Analysis, Data Use & Retention
Every match you upload is automatically analyzed by our AI algorithm. It detects jersey numbers, ball possession, and key events without storing personal data. These analyses help you quickly find your key moments.
- Your data is securely stored and not shared with external parties.
- Clubs and coaches with a team license can access player data, in line with legal requirements and with parental consent if applicable.
- We only use anonymized data internally to improve our services and share general insights.
Fair Use Policy – AI Analyses
If you have an AI-enabled subscription, all your uploaded matches are automatically analyzed by Clairence, our AI system. To ensure fair and sustainable use of our resources, the following Fair Use Policy applies:
- You may upload up to 15 matches per month for AI analysis.
- If you upload more than 15 matches in a single month, or more than 30 matches within any 3-month period, your AI analyses may be temporarily paused.
- In such cases, we will contact you to discuss your usage and determine a suitable next step (for example, upgrading your subscription or adjusting usage limits).
This policy ensures that all users can enjoy high-quality AI analyses and system performance.
6. Code of Conduct and Fair Use
We strive to keep Smart11 a safe and respectful environment. Therefore:
- Only upload footage you are authorized to use.
- Be respectful toward other users.
- Do not share abusive, hateful, or sexually explicit content.
- Do not attempt to misuse or hack the system.
We reserve the right to temporarily or permanently block your account in case of misuse.
7. Intellectual Property
The technology, tools, and content of Smart11 are the property of Smart11. You may not copy, distribute, or sell them without permission.
Anything you upload remains yours. By uploading it, you grant Smart11 a revocable, non-exclusive license to process the material as needed for the proper functioning of the service. You retain ownership of your own content.
Content created by coaches in SmartCoach (such as tags, playlists, or notes) remains linked to the coach account or associated team account while the subscription is active. After cancellation, shared clips may remain accessible to players, but notes or private analyses may be removed.
Note: Full match uploads are removed from our servers after 12 months. Clips created from them will remain available. You will receive at least 7 days’ notice before deletion. This retention policy also applies to SmartCoach uploads and analyses unless otherwise specified in a team license.
8. Updates and Changes
We continuously improve our services. Occasionally, these terms and conditions may be updated. You will be notified via email or in-app if this happens. Continued use of the app after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new version.

These terms are governed by Dutch law. In the case of disputes, we aim to resolve them through mutual agreement. If that fails, disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Groningen, unless mandatory law prescribes otherwise.
