Guide · Individual development

Every player gets feedback on their own match

A way of working to coach every player individually with match footage, even with a full squad.

Why the player analyses

With a squad of 16 or more players, individual feedback takes hours of video work.

Let every player select and rate their own actions, and that work shifts.

You respond to what the player saw. The player looks closely at their own choices in the match.

Five questions per action

For each selected action the player first rates the impact: plus, neutral or minus. Then come five questions, based on the Smart11 football language of game actions, goals and executions.

Question

What it is about

Observation

What did the player see before the action started?

Choice

Did the player choose the right action?

Goal

Did the player choose the right goal for the action?

Execution

How good was the execution?

Goal Achieved

Was that goal achieved?

Smart11 calculates the Impact score from the answers.

The statistics show per game action which share of the actions got a plus on impact, choice, correct goal and goal achieved. You pick the last 5 matches or your own period.

Development areas

Each player chooses what they want to improve: up to 4 categories with up to 5 game actions each. As a coach you can also assign Focus Points.

On the dashboard the player sees the Impact score per Focus Point and whether it rises, stays level or drops.

Start with one or two Focus Points per player. That keeps the conversation concrete.

A week with this way of working

Moment

Who

What

After the match

Coach or club admin

Upload the footage or paste a Veo or USF link.

Before the next training

Player

Select their own actions and answer the questions per action. About 15 minutes.

Before the next training

Coach

Look per player at what they analysed and reply in the chat or on a clip.

At training

Coach and player

Short conversation about one action or one Focus Point.

Coaches report about 10 minutes per week to coach several players this way.

Clairence as a helper

With Clairence, the AI analyst, a player does not have to watch the whole match first.

Clairence recognises players by their shirt number. Each player picks their own number and sees their own moments straight away.

Privacy within the team

Teammates only see each other's actions when a player shares them.

When a player is in a team, the coach sees the analyses in Smart11.
